An idea from Emily: I am wondering if there would be room for a piece every month about “the history of ETUG” maybe little stories about its past, people who have been members, workshop experiences, pictures, etc.? This might be nice for new members especially to see – as well as for those of us who are still pretty new. And it might be a nice place to start archiving the history of ETUG and inviting longer-time members to contribute their own memories, etc., to fill in the holes…just an ides.
Also, as part of the Chair hello, can there also be a bit about the purpose of the newsletter and how people can contribute?
Thanks!

Great ideas Emily! I especially like the "blasts from the past" a way to get a long term view from our venerable "Members Emeritus" too. We have an archive begun in paper (big binder) and digitally (Grant Potter timeline project) we can use for resources and linking to and retro photos to scan could be dug up I'm sure.

for ETUG History / profiles with members emeritus...shall we call these "Blasts from the Past" or "That was Then" or what do you think? I would like to start one maybe with interview with Irwin DeVries who was first Chair (I have to dig back and look at my files)
